Your tour begins with an early morning flight from Addis Ababa to Bahir Dar, located on the southern shore of Lake Tana. Upon arrival, meet your private guide and driver before heading to the lakeshore for a private boat excursion.

Cruise across Lake Tana, passing traditional fishing boats, papyrus boats, islands, peninsulas, and lakeside communities. Visit Ura Kidane Mehret, one of the well-known historic monasteries of the Lake Tana region, and explore its traditional circular church and colorful religious paintings.

After the boat excursion, enjoy lunch in Bahir Dar before driving to Blue Nile Falls (Tis Abay). Walk through the surrounding countryside to viewpoints overlooking the Blue Nile gorge and waterfall while enjoying the rural landscape.

Return to Bahir Dar and check in at Blue Nile Resort. Spend the evening relaxing or enjoying a peaceful walk along the Lake Tana waterfront.

After an early breakfast, depart Gondar for Simien Mountains National Park. Drive to Debark, the gateway to the park, where you will complete the park formalities and meet your local scout.

Continue toward the Sankaber area and begin a guided 7–8 km hike along the Simien escarpment. The trail passes through highland plateaus and dramatic viewpoints overlooking deep valleys and steep mountain cliffs.

The area is home to Gelada baboons, which are commonly encountered around the trails. Depending on conditions, you may also have opportunities to see Walia ibex and highland birds.

Take time at scenic viewpoints for photography and enjoy lunch in the mountains before returning to Gondar. Arrive back at Goha Hotel in the late afternoon or early evening.

• Driving: Gondar → Debark approximately 100 km / 2.5–3 hours; Debark → Sankaber approximately 30–40 km / 1–1.5 hours.

• Elevation: Sankaber approximately 3,250 m.
• Overnight: Goha Hotel, Gondar.

After breakfast, continue exploring Lalibela according to your flight schedule. Visit additional parts of the historic church complex, browse local handicraft shops, or take a leisurely walk through the town.

If time allows, an optional excursion to Yemrehanna Kristos can be arranged, providing another opportunity to discover the religious heritage and highland scenery surrounding Lalibela.

Later, transfer to Lalibela Airport for your flight back to Addis Ababa. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel, airport, or preferred location, marking the end of your five-day Northern Ethiopia journey.
